In my front pocket I keep my cell phone, on a front belt loop I keep house and U-lock keys, in my left back pocket I have a wallet, and in my right I have my mini u-lock.

In the outside pocket on my messenger bag I have about 5 wrenches, some Alan wrenches, patch kit, and a swiss army knife (mostly used for opening beer)

In the pocket behind that I keep a bike map of Seattle and some Jimmy Johns menus. On the pocket to the left of that I have a cable to lock my front wheel and a mini-pump. On the pocket to the right I have a spare inertube, my bikes headlight and a box filled with salt packets for poring on my wounds. The main pocket has my hat, my Jimmy Johns hat and a spare Jimmy Johns hat in the liner (plus whatever I need to carry) on a army ammo pouch I attached to the strap I keep my i-pod.

I am never without my wallet, my keys, my phone and a pack of gum. I almost always have my iPod with me, too, but the first four items are a must have.
